HOW DOES FUNGAL NAIL TREATMENT WORK?

Pulses of light from the Lynton laser passes through the toenail to the fungus underneath. The fungus is irradiated without any damage to the surrounding nail or skin.

HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?

Depending on how many toes are being treated, procedure will take 20-30 minutes.

HOW DOES TREATMENT FEEL?

Most patients describe the discomfort as mild and tolerable and no anaesthesia is required.

WHAT IS THE PRE-TREATMENT ADVICE?

Prior to treatment, we suggest you visit a Chiropodist/Podiatrist to confirm the diagnosis of fungal nail, and have the nail paired down if necessary. Please bring a spare pair of clean socks to wear after your treatment.

ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS ON MY ACTIVITY POST PROCEDURE?

You can resume your normal activities immediately.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

It may take 6-12 months, as your nail grows out, the new nail growth should be clear.

WILL THE FUNGUS COME BACK?

You can be reinfected with toenail fungus anywhere from your environment. Consult with your healthcare professional to understand how to prevent toenail fungus from reoccurring.
